Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my savage XL engine. I was recently working on sealing the engine from any air leaks that nitro engines usually have and one of the spots that usually have air leaks is the connection point right below the carburator. I can't seem to take the carburator off the engine. Does anyone know what might be up with my carburator?? It wont budge off..? (Yes, I unscrewed the pin screw or whatever its called lol.)
 
Did you pull out the carb pinch screw or just unscrew it? Some of my motors will let go of the carb when I unscrew it...others I have to pull the entire pin out.
 
On my savage 25 i took the screw completely out and it still didnt budge, so i pried it out and i broke the bottom part a little, but it still worked even better then when it had air leaks lol
 
I have had a few stuck ones as well. I usually just tap then gently until the release.
 
yeah i removed the whole screw.. So i should try and tap the carb until it budges?
