Having trouble finding a new body for my new Savage XL. I have found the stock GT one and a Rubicon Body on HPI.com. Does anyone know of any other bodies that are out there or Do I have to use a small one like the GT or go up to a 1/5 scale body. Thanks in advance for the help.
 
If you look on ebay they have a few different ones for sell. I think Hpi has more than those two on the site that will work. Have various car bodies and a few other trucks I thought.
 
At least the Sav XL has a few bodies made for it....I havent seen any except the stock Losi one for my XXL.....It almost makes me want to go back to the LST2....only real difference is its 1.5 inches shorter lol.....So many more hop ups for LST2.....I'm hoping that changes at some point....

Anyway...back on topic....I know Proline has at least 1 or 2 bodies for the Sav XL. Look at their website.
 
I love my XL but I've been in the same spot as you. Like grey said, the Losi xxl is the only one with the right dimensions. When I was doing my research for a new top, I found the dimensions were 21-22" long and 7" wide. The El Camino is 21.5" long by 6" wide (same with the Hemi Cuda). So it'll fit, just looks really weird which is the downside of the XL, is that it is longer making the aesthetics (body covers) difficult to find. Most of the bodies I founds were fit more toward the X and "regular sized" trucks.

If you do find some nice ones please post so I can have a look as well :)

I have the proline Top Kick and hpi 79 ford ext cab. They both fit really well.
 
if u get the 79 ford it has to be the ext cab version or it wont fit
 
My buddy has a short course body that fits on my xl. I will post pictures and more info once I get mine built. It makes the truck look like its true size.
