Savage Xl 5.9 Engine?

Hi,

I want a new engine for it..I'm facing lot of probs with it..Really difficult to tune and half the time is lost tuning it...I'm just ok with tuning ( My revo(stock) and Drift (with Os engine) cause no prob in tuning/..

Please suggest an engine n exhaust which can drop right into it with or without needing a mount...

Picco .28 with a Jp3 or an 086 pipe.

You may want to try sealing that engine before giving up on it.

How to seal it ?

How do we seal it? I mean for air leaks..Which parts n with which material??

I've used Permatex Ultra Copper which is a high temperature silicone gasket material to seal the backplate to the rear of the engine and the top of the carburetor shaft where it is inserted into the engine.
Take the parts off, clean them before applying the seal and don't use too much.

Use some on your header and high speed needle housing as well if they're leaking.
