Savage X SS or just Savage SS

I was talking to my local hobby shop and had said I was interested in buying a Savage x SS when it's released and was told to go with just the savage ss instead. The reason the guy gave me was that the shock towers on the X are prone to breaking, but I'm thinking he's just trying to get rid of his stock of SS's b4 the new X comes out and that's why he's trying to turn me off of the X SS. Now I don't know whether to just go ahead and buy the SS or wait the couple weaks for the X ss

Well from what i see,the shock tower's aren't differnt,I'm probablly wrong but I'm not seeing it,If you wanted to upgrade the SS to a X it would cost you about$120+ bucks to do it,I've been looking at upgrading to a X for my SS.If you can handle waiting the couple weeks,then buy the SS X. It has it's advantages over the SS.

The shock tower thing is a bunch of bull...they are the same except the X has two more mounting options. Go for the X SS when it comes out, its better in many many ways.

Thanks guys, that's what I figured but just wanted to be sure b4 I made my decision, which is now definately the x ss, hopefully it's not to far away from being released.

They fixed alot of the headache problems with the previous design. The X has done me nothing but good.

Tower says mid august...so it could be a few weeks...it'll be worth it tho.

Yea, tower's dates are usually pretty accurate. You'll see it in your local shop about a week after, because a lot of shops use tower as a distributor.
