Savage X SS 4.6- regearing for faster acceleration?

I know there is a 3-speed transmission and I'm not really sure if that just adds a higher top gear to the 2 speed, but my 2-speed is already faster than I would ever care to have it. Is there a gearset I can purchase to give me quicker acceleration rather than higher top speed?

The 3 speed gives you a lower 1st gear and a higher 3rd. You can also use an even taller 3rd gear.
If you don't want to go that route, just go with less teeth on the CB or more on the spur.

Thnx for the info. After looking at 3 speeds I decided to crack open my transmission case to look around. turns out 3 tiny screws have been loose this whole time and got shredded. Still shifts fine, but I'd rather go 3-speed. Also looking into a 49 tooth steel spur gear. I'll have pics on my build thread
