Savage x brakes???

Ok i'm newb to all this i've only puy 5 tanks of fuel threw my new savage x but my brakes are toast...no more little red disks.
Is this normal where and tere. They sure dont last long and is there an upgrade for them?:\

Do you have the single or dual disk? If its the single, i would recommend this upgrade:

They are dual discs and this is my first nitro rc car so i was hopping to dial them in after a couple of days but i guess they dont last that long.:\

I got the dual fiberglass disk brake on both of mine and still hold up like they were brand new, one of my disk set is going on 4 gallons. I thinks its just an adjustment problem...JMO

the only brakes worth puttin on a savage are the crazy nut racing ones. they were very hard to come by a few years ago but once i got a set, they were incredible. I went though brakes literally every other tank before i got them. My savage was very heavy and needed solid stopping power.

Almost a gallon thru mine and will stop on a dime. Had some fade after about 8 tanks, but dialed in nicely now. Still looking for an upgrade though.
