Well, i haven't used this beast in years now. The reason being, last couple times i took it out. The carb seems to get stuck open. It works for a bit, but once it warms up and the metal expands it gets stuck.

I took it to a local shop for them to check it out and they just cleaned out the carb, and then lubed it up with some after run oil.

That did absolutely nothing.

I don't know what to do in order to fix this problem, i tried taking it apart and re-aligning the guide that it follows thinking it might have been off just a tad, and i tried again to clean it myself.

In the end. It's been sitting in the trunk of my car for the last year or more and does absolutely nothing. I really wanna get this thing back up and running because i have so much dang money into it.

I might as well use it, rather than letting it rot away.

What are my options?
How can i fix this problem?
How can i find out part numbers for this specific engine?
Are the carburetor compatible between the other some other engines?

I got this from ebay, but idk if it will work.

HELP ME!

After some research, i came up with this picture to maybe better understand.

It is the throttle barrel that seems to be getting stuck. I really don't know though.

If the new carb looks like it will work, then try it. If it bolts up it should work. Make sure to retune.

--- I don't wanna go out and purchase a brand new one and not know if it's the correct one. Is there any other carb that is interchangeable with it?\

Going to pull the carb from my stock .21 and maybe that will work. I read on another forum it will but it will run hotter than usual because it's not bringing enough air into the engine, making it run leaner. Something on those lines.

Well, i pulled the slide from my .21 engine. It measured in at 9mm, the same as the slide in my outlaw... I put that slide in last night lined up everything and going to re-tune it today. Hopefully it works out and i will be back in the rc game!

That should work fine. While you have the Picco carb out, remove the idle adgustment screw and the dust boot from the slide. The carb slide should come right out. Polish the slide up good and pay particular attention to the area that the idle screw sits in. Common problem with the older Picco carbs.
Note; ARO eats carb O-rings. Use grease or green slime to lube it.
