Just picked up a set of savage triple rate springs from RC Raven. Can't wait to try these things out. These things have a lot more cushion?

triple rate....is that the same as progressive rate for motorcycles? the first bit is nice and soft but it gets stiffer the closer to full compression they get?

yep you got it, they have 3 sections with different stiffness

i ran a set on my old savage and i liked them, soft enough to soak up the small stuff but stiff enough to handle big air.

the ones i had were a touch shorter then the stockers so you may have to run some spacers to make up the difference. i think you will like them.

.....well, the site says they're for the e-savage, I'm guessing it's a bit lighter than a nitro.....would it be feasible to stack these on top of the stock springs? or are there other "progressive rate" springs out there to be found?

where'd you find the savage ones? RC Raven's site doesn't list anything but the E-savage ones...

ah, I'm just blind.....ok, so, having just gotten my savage 25, and upgraded the radio to the Spektrum DX3, putting the bigger of the two servos that came with it in as the throttle/break servo (the steering one is already upgraded even farther), going to put the other one in as the reverse servo, and jumped it around a bit, I'm wondering, how nasty would I have to be getting with the truck before I need something like these springs?

Well I have the triple rate springs and also put another spacer on the spring as well as the stock black clips it comes with. I am looking at 20ft jumps with mine and thats why I went with a very stiff set-up. Haven't tried it yet though, still waiting on my parts from "savage X in the hospital" thread.

Can't wait to try it though. Hopefully I have it out again before my snowmobile comes out.
