My savage has been acting up. for some reason when i start it up and give it gas it just takes off and dosent stop. I have changed the batteries in it like three times and it dose the same thing.

your idle screw is opened too much, take off your air filter to see the carb and screw the idle needle till there is a 1mm gap in the carb when the carb is closed.

How old is it? The receiver switch may be getting dirty and when running causing it to loose power on you. Had that issue a few times in the past with switches that don't have a silicone cover (like the revo, jato and savage).

Could be, depending on what he means. LIke when he starts it, the idle is low, but the truck moves. But if he starts it and the RPM's go up and it takes off, sounds either like carb binding or electrical issue.

yeah one of my throttle servos had a problem kinda like that, whenever i braked it would spring back past nuetral when i let go of the brakes.

take the bell off and see if the clutch is worn done alot and check your springs and make sure no debree in the clutch bell
