I have a Savage 25. Today I changed my CB from a 18t to a 15t. The spur is a 52t. After I changed the CB to the 15 I installed the engine back in, tried to start it and it would not fire up. If the CB/spur mesh is not tight enough would that cause it not to start. I dont know really just frustrated with it. Any help would be appreciated.

It is not going to be related to you changing the CB, but make sure that your primed, but not flooded. Make sure that your glow plug is good and that you have a good amount of throttle trim.

It's probably an improper adjustment on the linkage. Take off the air cleaner and look inside the carb as you work the throttle with the engine off. Set your trim to zero when you adjust it, and set the idle position with full brake trigger.

Well since you took out the engine to replace the cb and i will assume it was running fine before you did the swap check to make sure the fuel line and pressure line are in the right spots(exhaust line to the cap on the fuel tank)that was a problem i once had.The other guys got everything else covered

I adjusted the linkage and set the idler screw. It started right up. The only thing now is I took of the are filter and noticed that at full throtle the carb is only open to about 3/4 the way. I tried to adjust the servo/linkages. Nothing I do gives full throtle. I dont even want to talk about have my truck has always had 1/2% braking power. I was thinking about doing the ofna linkage mod. That way I hope I can go and stop 100%

If you are unable to reach full throttle and full brake, you have a problem with the servo or the servo horn. If you have a computer radio, you need to change the end points. (EPA in the menu)
Moving the linkage to the outermost hole in the servo horn would give you a longer throw in both directions. If you can't increase it any farther, get a longer one.

Thanks, I think it is the servo also. I have a high torque servo I'm using for the reverse, I'll switch them and see if that works. If not Ofna linkage here I come.
