yeah sr i know it about the same as rushrc ...but hes out of stock with his distributors saying it may be a long backorder.....so if anyone was looking to buy one soon i thought id put this out there
 
i cancelled my order with tower hobbie and I'm heading down to ultimate hobbies today to get one. i'll be leaving here shortly to get it. it's a 2 hour drive each way but i think it will be worth it. i just can't wait for it to be in stock and shipped. ancy? yes i am.

Hopefully I'll have mine by this weekend. It sucks not having a savage lol, I had to send mine out before I could get my new one.
 
i picked it up yesterday. got it put together today, but I'm still waiting on my switch harness and my jr xs3 synthesized radio. i was playing around modifying my battery pack a 1100mah for the servos to fit the casing. and it started smoldering and wouldnt stop. i had to run outside with it and dispose of it. totally sucks now thats $30 down the tubes. i got it at ultimate hobbie about 2 hours from me for $414.95..

came with dual disc brake set-up 2 sets of camber arms, servo saver set-up, the tires are super sticky, a clear body with decals you can add, anodized purple. aluminum hex nuts for the axles were the wheels go on. game with glo-plug and heavy duty grease.suspension stiffeners, and some other stuff. if i had a camera i would take some pics.
 
oohh you peaked my interest....what do you mean by "suspension stiffeners"

and damn you built it in one day? ....took me a week but i took my time and enjoyed it...dont know when i get to build another rc
 
i believe he means those things you put between the springs to give it a little more stiffness.
 
my LHS just said that they could get the savage 4.6 for about $424 + TAX not a bad price for a local buy ya think?

there is this little clip that clip on the top of the springs. it stiffens and raises the truck when they are in. take them out and it lowers the truck about 3/4 on an inch and handles jumps better and softens the ride. i saw a guy at the track last week with a savage ss kit and it was bouncing all over the place and he couldnt control it cause it kept bouncing and then flipping over.

i started on it a about 6pm last night and worked on it till 3 in the morning. then i got up at 8 and finished it at 3pm. so it took me about 16 hours. i forgot to put on the servo saver and i just put that on and i'll leave the servo/battery compartment out till it get my radio and receiver to make sure it is set at 90 degrees before i attach it back.

it came with 2 set of cambers rods/arms. one set you can adjust yourself and the others are one solid piece. i may put the solid ones in so that evreything is PERFECTLY even.

radio,receiver, and switch harness should all be here this week. the aluminum hex nuts are going to be a saver. i dont think the 4.6 will strip them out burning out, but i dont know, we'll see.

can you spray paint the skid plates and bumpers seeings how they are plastic?

oh and it comes with a fat ass upgrade bag of goodies.
 
yes please share, i can't wait tell i get mine i may get it some time this month. So much for summer lol, i knew it wouldnt last.

I was thinking this as I saw many posts saying you were going to wait till summer, it was just a matter of time till you cracked lol. It is almost impossible for me to wait as well. I was planning on getting a buggy this summer, but I got it last fall lol. :D

Oh, and tell us whats in that fat ass bag of goodies, hopefull I'll have mine by the end of the week but we'll see. :)
 
HAHA yeah me too now i just got to convince the parentals, but that shouldnt be to hard. I'm just dying to wrench on something and to drive the hell out of something. Now Arawak420 just needs to get on and tell us whats in that goody bag I'm dying to know.
