Hello
After receiving my Savage from Smaxxin I started to play around with it a bit and noticed that the bolt that holds the shocks on at the top are bent pretty bad..
Its no big deal at all and I'm sure they are dirt cheap but I have no idea what bolt it is could some one please tell me what the part number is?

Oh and also wile i already have a thread open what would be a good clutch shoe fly wheel and clutch bell to use with a Os 30VG and a 49T spur gear?

Thanks!

Also I would really like to have the part number or set number of those things that go around that bolt but inside the eye of the shock.

M3x42mm Hpi part # is Z303 The spacer in the top of the shock is Hpi # 85049

As for the clutch and spur gear (gear ratio). What do you intend to do with the truck Bash, Race or back yard drive?

Make sure to install the bolt so the nut is on the back side of the shock tower on the rear by the fuel tank. Many fuel tanks have been destroyed because the bolt being driven into the back of it on an "off" landing.

Thanks guys
I just bash But i wouldn't mind some top speed there either:)

Back side of the tank got it thanks:)

excellent tip...my tank was victim once.

My savage already has a plastic spur and I would like it to stay there as a cheap break point so what clutch bell could I use with it?

Thank you very much for your info but I would really like to stick with a plastic spur.

One more question.. What seals are in the savage x ss shocks?

I haven't been able to tear em down yet but I would like to be able to order them before I tear them apart..

Thanks again for your help!
