Savage Problems

I am having problems with my Savage 25 when I go to accelerate it revs and sounds like it normally does and there is plenty of smoke that is coming out of the pipe but it hardly will move when i take it off the ground the wheels appear to be spinning normal I was told that it was a stripped spur gear then that maybe a set screw came loose and messed my diffs up when i hold the spur gear and roll the truck backward the gear does not move just like on all my other cars but when I roll it forward it moves without any resistance which on my other cars it doesn't move does this sound like it is a problem with my spur gear.

Your slipper could be too loose. Tighten it down all the way then back it off about 1/4 to 1/2 a turn.

Its either your slipper on the spur or you clutch in the clutchbell.

look at the brake hub, their's a hex screw that goes across it make sure it's there.
