Fresh of a rebuild and some new parts.. My basher is back and better than ever... About two years ago I made my first set of frames.. They were the 1.5" extendeds.. I went through a couple of design changes but still feel these are the best overall chassi I have made.. These frames are over a year old.. been through hell and back and still look good. This is by far my favorite truck to bash on...

- NovaRossi 528XRP
- 4mm 7075 1.5" extended TVPs
- All aluminum parts were de-anodized and then electropolished
- Electropolished LST shocks with threaded bodies held on with 4mm 7075 brackets
- X-75 beadlocks with rock ring
- 3 speed tranny
- lunsford titainum tie rods
- nova engine mount and one peice engine plate
- 430 oz hitec servo (steering)
- LST tires with MGT foams
- Alloy gearboxes with alloy cups 300k front and 100k rear
- Half-back cage

Damn nice build SKIP! You've outdone yourself again! I want to see this one run...soon!

skip what make fuel tank protecter is that.
and i am thinking on making a roll cage if i heat up the derlin rod and bend it a bit into shape will it loss it's it's strength?
thanks :)

tannera.. That is a Vertigo performance tank gaurd.. It is by far the best gaurd on the market.. Mounts in three places and is a nice fit unit.

No the rod dosent really loose its strength. Might loose some but here is the best tip I can give..

- take your time heating the rod evenly and all the way through.. the rod should almost bend itself when its heated properly and evenly. You should see no white at the bends. That would represent the middle not hot..
- Your bends should have a decent size radius.. I would say that a radius of 1.5" is good.. meaning that if you had a 3" pipe to bend around that would be the best..

and I'll tell you the hardest part is not the first side you bend, its the second side.. getting the two sides bend simetricly is tough..

Sweetdiesel... The land behind my house is now a construction zone.. No more fun back there.. I would like to have one more gathering with the guys before I move out of this house.. Hope you and your family are doing swell. Take care and give me a call when you have time so we can catch up..

that is a tough looking ride there. 430 oz. servo. holy mon' how long does the hump pack last?

i was thinking about running drive cvds. wore out my tranny drive cups and shafts. it still runs and clinks when i drive with gouges in the cups.

oh' that thing needs some dirt on it as well. make me look at your makes me want to go out in the hot ass sun outback and bash around the track.
