Today I did the savage over. I bought savage SS duel disk brake setup, Ofna aluminum clutch shoes and the new SS steering setup. Everything worked perfectly. The only thing I did different was the steering. Instead of using the plastic center link, I used one from integy. I also didn’t want to use the screw pins that just threaded into plastic. So instead I used pins from a Kyosho inferno MP7.5 and nuted the other side. The only other thing I had to do was notch out the frame so that the nuts would not hit. After all the work the truck pulls wheelies again, will stop on a dime and give you 9 cents change, and takes turns extremely well. Check out the pic’s and you can see how much turn radios it has now. So what do ya think?

I orignaly did the MP mod but the centerlink rubbed against the top of the diff input shaft housing and I had more steering to the left then the right. that's why I allready had the integy centerlink and kyosho pin's. now with the SS steering it will turn all the way to the end of the C hub's. It's great :breakdown :breakdown

thats a nice idea. looks as if you get another 1/4' inch at least in steering left and right.

did you have to do that on both sides?

I had the same prob so I went with the new Cam type. You should also grind down your axle carriers as well to allo maximum steering.
