congrats on your new savage. lucky let me know how it runs when you finish the break in.

nice truck bro I've got my X to break in yet. fxxking snow we just got 5 inches here. its bull. lucky u to get a chance to break it in.

I'll let ya know how it runs.

We got some snow here too, but thats not stopping me :D

I feel ashamed.... I havent had time to break mine in.

I've had the damn thing for a week.

Well its about 25 degrees here, and only 5 or so inches of snow on the ground. Gonna stand in my garage out of the wind and break it in on the driveway lol.

...or maybe I'll wait till its a bit warmer haha.

Well i just got it all set to go, got the hump pack all charged and ready to go. The radio box is still a pain, but its better than the old savvy I had. I like having the charge lead able to get to with out taking off the cover. And none of those damn pins to worry about. Gonna upgrade steering servo as soon as I get some cash, and maybe those dual steel brakes, I liked those.

The roto start 2 is pretty cool, its got a sweet spring loaded cover for the little red button lol.

Well i just broke my R2R Savage 25 and tuned it. OMG how awesome! Here in miami its 85 degrees it never really gets cold here maybe the 50's for like 2 weeks

Hey thanks for pointing that out!

LOL, still deciding if I should get out there in the wind today or not for mine haha.

Well I went out with plans to do the entire break in, but forgot how big the savage tank is. It took me about 35 minutes to do the first tank of idling lol. So tomorrow I will do the last two tanks and finish it up.

Once the engine got warmed up it ran for the entire 30 minutes without stalling. Stalled a few times gettin warmed up, but after that it was fine.

Did tank number 2 today, which is driving in a circle at half throttle. I wasn't impressed with the power, but I wasn't dissapointed. It was decent performance, but nothing amazing...keep in mind its like 30 degrees here too lol.

What I was really dissapointed with was the breaks. The stock servo doesn't have enough power to engage the brakes much at all.

Other than that it ran smooth, never stalled, and started up pretty quickly with the rotostart. The steering servo actually did quite well too.

lol I'll get some footy!

Once I get it all broken in I may be able to convince someone to film it. Gotta bust out the ramp and do some backflips lol.

Ok the savvy is all broken in. Having some trouble trying to get it tuned tho, if I give it only half throttle it will revv up and shift to second pretty quick, then i can floot it and it will run perfect all the way up to top speed. if I stop, then floor it, it takes off crisply then will stop revving up and sound VERY rich, it would hold a constant RPM, not enough to shift tho. Some tiems it'll hit second and take off. I think its just too cold and its not getting up to temp. I have tried leaning out the HSN some, but it doesn't do much. Gonna try leaning it more tomorrow. Haven't played with it too much yet, way too much homework lol.

I was much more impressed with the power of the 4.1 today. It lifted up the front wheels a few times and if I had more space I could have done a wheelie. When I only gave half throttle it was very smooth all the time.

Hopefully gonna bash with some friends this weekend, I will try to get some footy for ya haha.

Well I got her all broken in and tuned it up. I am far more impressed with the power of the 4.1 now, it will do wheelies on comand on 100% stock form. This is in 40 degree weather and temps were low still like barely 200. Should be a decent performer for an RTR engine.

Sounds like you got a winner AC. Do you think your gonna hang onto this one for more than a two weeks or ya going to sell it like you usually do? How do you like it so far compared to the regular 25? Also how much are these new X's running I'm thinking about getting one in about a month or so.

LOL, I do plan on keeping this one for a while at this point. I held on to the SS I had for a year or so, so I think the X has a good chance lol. So far after 4 tanks of running it definetly has more power than the regular 25. It can wheelie pretty easily, and I never got my old 25 to wheelie. Its no powerhouse, but isn't too bad for an RTR. I got mine for $420 shipped at Tower with the $30 off coupon and free shipping thing that was going on. Regular they are 450.
