i keep shredding the 53 tooth gear it took 5 mins to kill its lined up meshing great the only diffrence is i put a bigger motor in it:)
 
its stripping and the huy at the hobbie shop Brendan Mock can't work it out either ma be changin teeth on clutch bell and main gear but that in my opinion wont fix it might get steel one but they cost heaps:angry:

I'd check the mount for cracks and possibly the plate the engine mount bolts to.

Also check the bearings in the CB and on the spur shaft. If they are worn, they will cause the gears to not line up when under torque which would shear off the teeth. CB bearings are the hardest working bearings on a rig. Also usually the shortest living bearings.
 
If your shoes are slipping, your clutch bell gets hot. If you stop for a minute with a hot bell it will transfer heat to the spur gear, hammer the throttle and when those hot teeth come around they can be stripped off. I have seen it before, could be the issue.
 
sounds abuot right after 2 mins i looked at it with the truck idiling it was a1 shape then i took off 3 mins later i hit the gas and get nada the gear is gone how can i tell if its melting it looks kike its stripped
 
Try and keep it moving slightly when stopped, just enough to rotate the gears every few seconds. When you go to take off, don't jam the throttle, drive it easy for just a bit and let the teeth cool down. Get some better shoes or gear down, this is happening because your clutch is slipping.
 
Switch to al. clutch shoes with 1.0 springs. Make sure the grease from the CB bearings has not slung out on to the shoes and CB. I always clean out my CB with a degreaser after a new CB bearing install. Run one tank, stop the truck. Pull the engine and clean the shoes and CB. The Stock carbon/teflon shoes run extremely hot compared to aluminum shoes, especially when you run on grass. Melted a few myself this way. Do not bother with the metal spur, just my opinion though.
 
Do you have a temp gun? Maybe check the temp of your CB after you've run it for a bit.

Have you taken a look at the clutch shoes? Have you cleaned out the bell and shoes with DA then roughed them up with scotch brite pads or sand paper? These things may help get you rolling again. Clutch shoes need maintenance periodically and if you didn't properly clean all the parts when installing it, any oil residue will cause excess slip.

Don't forget about your bearings. If your CB is getting hot enough to melt your spur, then your bearings are getting fried and the oil that's in them is burning up.
 
Thank you guys for all your help it turned out to be the slipper clutch not slippin i turned it back "loose"half a turn and it just sat there slippin quarter turn back and she is all good thanks again guys...:D
