Can I drill holes in my flywheel to make it lighter for better acceleration and speed?

You can, if you have machine shop accuracy and can properly/evenly space your holes. If the holes are not properly spaced and the flywheel is unbalanced, you'll do more harm than good.

Your best bet is to look for and purchase a vented flywheel. There are a few out there. I run one on my T-Maxx (Fantom .15).

Yes I have milling machines and lathes etc. Did you notice a large improvement?

While his Fantom T-Maxx is fast he did not notice a noticable improvement. If you want a vented flywheel Robinson Racing makes one for like $20.

I totally agree with Sky about being careful because you will end up doing more harm than good if the flywheel loses balance as a result of the holes being slightly different.
