well I've had this chevy silverado body sitting around for a couple of months now, so i decided to spray it today with some metalic purple and yellow tamiya can paint. this is my 3rd paint job i have done as i have had my savage for about 7 months now. it was my first gas car! anyway thought id show you the results, looks more like camo then purple and yellow. took the front window out wth a dremel and put some purple mesh in there for bit of air. what you guys think????

cheers g unit

Your right, it does look like cammo. The next time you work over a body, I suggest you leave the majority of the windshield intact. Cutting the whole thing out makes the body really weak and prone to ripping apart. A 2 inch hole gets you enough air. And you shouldn't need to cut the side windows out. But I'd make a matching hole in the rear window in front of the engine to allow any air coming in to get out by going over the engine.

Regardless how good a paint job is... it still looks like crap after a good day of bashing, so it might as well structurally hold up at least.

I don't know if thats the look you were looking for, But if you don't want to see darkness under the yellow, always paint the darker colors first.
The darker colors will almost always bleed through the lite colors.

Olds97 is right about the windshield. I did that and after a few landings on my lid, it split in half from the A-pillar to the front wheel well.

that actually looks pretty tite to me. i just got a clear body that I'm bout to paint i think purple n black or silver n black. hope it turns out good.

You are right this body went wrong, anyway, who cares? you will need a new one in a couple moths, monster bodies don't last longer :hammer:

On my last body i cut the whole wind shield out and put screen door mesh in it and it went ok until i hit a mean one on it, then it was curtins for that body.
