I am new to nitro's and was quite interested in buying a revo, and then started looking up stuff on the savage...

Its got a lot bigger engine. And is bigger all around.

I am new to nitros and just wanted ot know what would make a savage 25 better for me than a revo. I have searched threads and threads but still want to know more. Are these as bulletproof as i hear? What type of range can you get with one of the RTR boxes? How fast is the 25 compared to the revo? Does it need any upgrades? I plan on doing some jumping and lots of racing around through grasses and such. How thich of stuff can it go through. What would it take to make one able to run through snow...light or heavy? Are there any spare parts i should buy and keep on hand?

Thanks for you help

Dude, I think I would go with either one of thso cars. I have a Lst, and dont own either, but I've seen alot ov videos of savagtes and revo's taking a lot of ahrd hist. they are tough trouckx.

i think you sho;uld go with the savage. thats just me though. Say you want to put a bigblock in the revo you would spend a couple hundred doing that. the revo can only handle a .18 and smaller engines. Unless you want to put lots of money into it to make it handle a big block. I personally dont own either now However I'm getting savage in a couple months. They are both indistructable i here, ones just smaller in size and engine. ones 1/10 (revo .15 engine) and ones 1/8 (Savage .25 engine) depends on if you want a big block or small block.

either is a great choice. i personally went revo but thats because of where i'm running, terrain, etc. both have huge hop-ups, and both are durable. accidentaly ran my revo into a parked mercedes E320 at 30+mph (WOT with brakes only last second) and all that happened was slightly bent pushrod.

i researched savages as i couldn't decide revo or savage ss, the savage is supposed to be very durable minus a few problem area's that are well known. same with the revo, but it is supposed to be ever so slighlty more fragile then the savage, although i have yet to see this based on above example. both have their problem area's, so be sure to know those. spider mods, etc apply to savage, for revo, go to a revo forum.

of course, a savage forum is obviously and for good reason, gonna be pro savage. same if you ask this on a revo forum. again, either are damn good trucks.

forgot to add, revo is more expensive too by about $80-90 depending where you buy from, but dosen't need a glow plug ignitor which saves $20.
