Hey Guys I know alot of yall have Savages I need to know what spare parts I need to order so i can have back ups I dont know if certain parts break more than and others so I thought I would ask! Thanks

Rusty

The only parts I ever need occasionally are shock parts and dogbones. That's not to say I don't have lots of other spares but those are the only things I seem to break. The dogbones mainly because I run a locker in the rear diff.

Over time of course bearings and drive cups are the most worn out parts.

+1 on Racer's parts.
I'd also get a spare upright set (85048) or two.
Hard landings have taken their toll and snapped off the linkage/control arm.
While you can swap them out (left to right), I eventually ran out of options and had to buy some.

In all the years I have owned my Savage SS, I have broken one a arm, due to me slamming a curb at wot, and stripped one diff cup, back when the Savages only came with a two spider set up. Other than that it is the toughest sob I own, I love my Savage.

I'm teaching my son how to do back flips and even after I softened up the slipper we are still eating through spur gears like butter...If your going to be jumping and your just learning buy spur gears!

SMaxxin is right. In all the years I've owned my Savage the only thing I've ever broken is the stock spur. It should be ok if you are just running hard over dirt or grass, but if you plan to jump it I would switch over to a steel spur.

I'm not a fan of the steele spur gears either, I like to keep the weak spot easy to get to. If your not on the throttle on the landings a plastic spur will last a long time...My son doesn't let off of the throttle LOL
