I use a Sanwa Gemini II (40mhz FM)Tx and RX in my Lightning buggy and a cheapo futuba TX/RX (40mhz AM) in my Savage.

I think In the USA Sanwa may be called Airtronics or may be branded as airtronics or vice versa not sure....but anyway my question is this.

I want to use the Sanwa Tx for both vehicles, using the model function as I've finally got annoyed with using the futaba for the savage and not having the EPA and curve rates etc like i do for the Lightning but I cannot for the life of me find a 2nd Sanwa reciever to put in the Savage.

If I put a hitec 40mhz FM reciever in the Savage will the functions like EPA and curves etc still work properly??
Crystals won't be a problem as I have 5 sets so I'll just have to remember to swap them in and out of the Tx as neccesary.

Thanks for any help!

Yes. Since the programming functions are at the level of the transmitter, all you need to make sure of is the receiver is compatible. You'll be able to use all the same parameters for your Savage as for your buggy.

ye, that would be fine, i use the hitec rec in my t maxx as it also has a built in failsafe, that's the his-03mk. been using it with my truck for over a year now with a hitec 645mg servo for throttle and futaba 9350 for steering and it has handled all the power the steering servo draws from it and never failed.
