sand tires?

my backyard track is almost all sand like picture making a track on the beach, maby a little harder. well my rc10 gt2 stock bow tie tires are running low on thread and after my tork tuned pipe i just put on the truck i just can't seem to keep traction. well any suggestions on tires and does anyone know if these tire spikes work http://cgi.ebay.com/100-TIRE-SPIKES...trkparms=65:12|66:2|39:1|72:1205|293:1|294:50

If it is like sand I would suggest using some paddle tires in the rear. I don't know if these will fit your car but these are what I am talking about.
