i have a camcorder with the s-video out on it, and i have a video card with s-video input, can i tranfer video to my pc using that?

cool, but what kind of software should i use, I'm asuming that mediaplayer would take care of it

S-In? What kind of card is it? The ATI All-in-Wonder is the only video card I know of that captures video thru S-Vid. There are other capture cards and USB capture devices that will, but strait video cards usually don't have inputs.

I had the ATI card a few years ago, but it would only take a mono audio signal.
You can also use a hardware interface. I have the Dazzle Digital Video Creator, and it has S-video in and out, as well as the component jacks for video and stereo audio, both in and out, with a USB connector.

i have an NVIDIA Geforce4 MX 4000 128mb pci card it has an s-video input on it
