Rx/Tx question

After break in of my buggy, I decided to change out the electronics. Everything was working fine at the time. I took the stock Rx out of the Inferno and put the RS300 in it and changed out the servos for some high torques .

So now I want to sell the orginal but I can't seem to get it to work. I use a spare battery holder, get fresh AAs, I plug everything into the Rx as usual and the servos twitch just a little bit. I turn on the Tx and I get no response from either the throttle or steering servo.

Why would a fully functional Rx/Tx work one day and not the next??

Any ideas how I should go about testing which is the problem component?

Look at the stupid stuff first.
Cristal's in?
Antenna up?
Plugs in the proper way?
Sure the Batteries are charged.

Just wondering.

The only time I have ever seen that happen is when the servos are plugged in reverse, OR, your modulation is not set properly on the transmitter. I.E., PCM, PPM etc.

Nope....checked all that....its a simple 2 channell 75Mhz AM radio nothing special.....

5.6V on the servo batts
11.5V on the receiver batts
servo plugs are keyed so they cannot be put in backwards.

Well, I found out last night that when I had brought everything into work to try to sell it to one of the guys here, her was fuggin with it. He plugged his servos and his 27Mhx crystals into the receiver. Could this have messed up the receiver somehow?? poop...imma kill him if thats the case....
