Is there a longer lasting replacement for the RX batteries onboard the Revo 3.3? Looking to get more than the 1-2hrs out of it. And also, the traxxas book says that you plug the truck in and when the light turns green it is charged... Well the plug itself says the light will be red when charging and will take 3-4hrs to charge and when the batteries are warm they are charged. Which one is correct? When I got the truck I let them charge for 5-6 hrs and the light stayed red the whole time.

the charger that comes with the RX battery will not go green when charged ...what i do to make sure not to overcharge it , i put it on a timer for 4 to 5 hrs ...never had any problems ..and mine lasts more than 1 or 2 hours ......you can always get a spare one for cheap on ebay

I was planning on getting another but I couldnt find a upgrade so I wasn't sure if it was the only option. And mine lasted longer than the 1-2 hrs that they say they will but was hoping for longer because waiting for batteries to charge suck....thats why I got a nitro. Thanks for the info and I will be getting another one soon :D

Get a charger that charges at around 1 amp(.8-1.2). If your bat is, say, 1200mah, then you can charge it at 1.2 amps. Though a bit lower would add to the longevity of the battery. I couldn't stand waiting 3-4 hours for a rx pack to charge. With a 1200 ofna battery and the traxxas power pack charger(1 amp charge rate), it takes no more than 30-40 minutes for it to charge. I easily get 3-4 hours of running out of it as well.

Yeah I am getting another tomorrow. I finally got all the stuff fixed on it then I went to drive it and I made a couple runs then it stopped on me lol. Hopefully now tho I wont have any issues as before, Even tho it was fun fixing it and taking stuff apart. So glad I got a nitro :)

If you know what you're doing, there's a website called cheapbatterypack.com that will build you custom batteries. I wouldn't suggest it for anyone new to the rechargeable world, but with experience, it should be good
