OK guys, finally had time to get this little freebee car running. Took the carb apart and cleaned it, replaced the rubber pipe on the exaust, and foam in the rear tires. Total cost in this little car so far $10.

Running damn good now. Had to richen up the high speed half a turn or so from what the book says. Be a fun little basher.

How long do the stock ones last till they start popping off? Not wanting to put much money in it right now. Thanks for the input.
 
well i had mine for a long time and so did the guy i bought it from car has about 16 gallons throuh it and i just upgraded about 2 gals ago but i dont like the mip ones i had to replace the shafts about 4 times now from breaking the little holes out in the end i would try the stock ones first be4 you stick that kind of money into it
 
My brother and one of my friends both have the MIP cvds and they work great. My friend assembled them wrong, so they keep falling apart...
 
Going with the stock ones. Anything else I need to look at on them besides the pins maybe?

Get yourself these http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJG59&P=7 and use the stock axle set up. You might have to replace your current axles if they are too worn out. This is what I ran on my rusty with a fantom 18 in it and they held up 10 times longer then the mips. The mips for the rustler are junk, t maxx and everything else mips are great, but for the rustler they are worthless.
 
thats what i heard, i am gonna get the same steel outdrives when the holes blow out in my car. I've been in many forums for a few years now and the mip's for rusty have come up heaps of times, and people always revert back to the stock parts.

Had this little car for 4 or 5 weeks and just getting to it. I might add a little bling to it later on. For now I'm running my Savage and Mammoth ST. :cheers:
