How long are they generally suppose to run? I took the two I have to the lake and they are both running about 5 minutes. Is this normal? It seems that they use to run for about 10 to close to 15 minutes but now I am getting around 3 to 5 minutes.

In stock form I'd say 9-10 minutes. If you're getting less than five then you're probably not getting a full charge. Try putting new AA's in the charge box.

Just did and much better run times. Thanks ;)

There aren't any chargers that you could use for 1/36 scale rc's than just using the "AA" charger?

Probably not. Due to the extremely small size of the cells in the pack just about any charger will charge it too quickly I assume. I can agree it seems sort of a hassle to use batteries to charge batteries but I don't think there is anyway around it while maintaining longevity for the pack.

if I went BL with a small lipo, would it go longer and are there chargers for the small lipos?

Brushless is not necessarily overkill for these rigs. IMO they aren't that much fun without them. Runtimes will be double what you get now AND they will be much quicker and significantly faster. You can pick up the Losi Lipos that come with the wall charger.

I run the 8750 motor with a 7.4v Lipo pack. It's not overkill at all. Now the 10000 motor with an 11.1v pack might be overkill depending on where you are trying to run it.

I may try that on the DT and run the atomic on the T. My DT with the atomic will lose traction to easily on linoleum.

i bought a small wall plug charger at the lhs for my micro. has red light while charging and it turns green when it's done. takes about 25 - 30 minutes.

That sounds like a lipo charger and I dont think you should use it with a stock battery.

you think the lhs would sell me the wrong one while he holds my micro in his hand? seems to work fine. i have thrown things at him before. lol

oh man i could tell you stories about south of you too. but i don't want to be a hijacker.:hehe:

The 10250kv motor with a 2s LiPo is almost too much... My micro D/T does donuts on the linoleum if you don't use very small amounts of throttle when starting out.
