rubber vs urethane belts

Whats the advantages of each? Thanks.

I've been told they are fairly similar performance wise - diff's = the urethane one's last slightly longer but you can't tell when they are going to go (as they look pretty much brand new up until they break) with the rubber you can tell when a belt is worn and it's time to replace it.
Might be wrong but the guy telling me had a stack of experience in RC so I believed it.

I think urethane belts are a little more resistant and longer lasting
