hey guys I was wondering if it is okay to put on a 3 inch rubber tube on the stinger to direct the exhust and oil down to the ground.
And on the TRX 2.5 do you need that littel plastic ring that fits on top of the engine mine keeps poping of and it gets annoying.

I know you can put tubing on the stinger thats not a big deal, but I don't know anything about the tmaxx so I can't comment on the Plastic thing.

Yes, you can put a tube on the stinger, I actually use a dubro exhaust deflector on all my trucks, my Savage SS even seems to run just a tad better with it on. The plastic piece on top of the 2.5 head is just basically a head protector, it will not affect the performance in any way if you remove it. Nor will it hurt the engine at all, other than you run the risk of scratching the head when you roll over.

That ring not only protects the head, but it holds your glow wire in place.
They ALL come off. Do what everyone else does, and that's put twist ties through the top ring on the head. They won't come off, and give you that extra protection.

I just use like some fuel line from an autoparts store. It's the same diameter and they fit perfect on my THS pipe. It's much thicker rubber than the Dubro exhaust deflectors. I have lost a few Dubro's and I still have not lost a autoparts store fuel line.
