which do you guys use??? I sealed my mill a few days ago and started looking at the rtv I used..... permatex hi-temp rtv silicone gasket sealant in black... Is this ok???? I also have some ultra black maximum oil resistance rtv silicone gasket maker but it doesn't say high temp..

I'm thinking I used the wrong stuff... gasket sealant and gasket maker sound like 2 different things...:)

I was told to get the Ultra Copper sensor-safe high temp RTV silicone gasket maker. It seems to have been the right recommendations so far.

High-temp, sensor safe is what you want. Non-sensor safe RTV emits acidic fumes as it cures, which is harsh on the aluminum and raw high carbon steel found in RC engines. Sensor safe doesn't have the acidic fumes.

I'd suggest picking some sensor safe stuff up before you do it again just to avoid corrosion inside your engine.

This is what I use:

I also use it on occasion to seal servos. The normal stuff more than likely wouldn't be good for circuit boards either.
