I cleaned up the roof line and door area, looks much better IMO

I thought these hubs felt soft when I was screwing them on! The fronts were fine but the rears not so much

Yes those are wheel hubs, they fit on the drive pins instead of a hex, I never liked that design! I'm about to swap wheels and use a 12mm hex.

Once again, nice carnage pics. It's also good to know about the potential problems in the rig.

OUCH! That sucks Pete. I wondered about those plastic pin drive hubs as I removed them from the wheels and replaced them with the LWI version.

I have another set of wheels coming but I want to look into those LWI hubs for these wheels.

I did a google search and I can't seem to find LWI hubs for the wraith. Are they like the SLW hubs from vanquish?

Beautiful artistic paint job. First class...:first_place

It was very easy to get a true mud look on it!

Some old school RC4wd true scale wheels showed up today! I'm happy to say they hold the BFG's really well!

Thanks guys, I have always liked these wheels too!

The stock servo isn't ready to crawl by any means but it's not bad for a RTR servo. It does have a good bit of slop due to the plastic bushing that is uses so I did a bearing swap. This is a straightforward swap, pull the servo cover remove the bushing and replace it with the 6x10x2.5 bearing. There is a how to on the Axial website.

With the plastic bushing

I only ran the Wraith a couple of time since my last post and learned that the stock motor with stock gearing doesn't like 3s! It still runs but the motor heats up instantly and smells burnt LOL. I am happy to report that the stock Axial esc handles 3s with no problems at all! I ended up pulling the VXL out of the Merv and it will find it's way into the Wraith....Should make for more carnage pics as all of the running gear is stock :D

Last night I finally installed the VXL in the Wraith, it was fun while it lasted!
