Hey, I'm loking into buying a on-road car and have been looking around. I have heard very good things about HPI on this forum and was wondering if this is a good car for my first on-roader? Does it have a good speed out of the box? And is it low maintenace and easy to drive?

Thanks guys!

To me, for your FIRST on-road car, I suggest the Associated, NTC3. Its the MOST supported on-road car out there and is a proven track winner. Over and over and over again. More parts available than lego makes!

Not knocking HPI, at all, but for a first timer, this is my suggestion an I'm sticking to it.

How does the NTC3 compare up with the RS4 3 Evo?
What is better about it and what makes it more for beginners?

Thanks

It compares EXCELLANT to ALL on-road cars out there for its performance and victory lane standings.

As for what is better and makes it more for beginners.... The availability of parts and support for it alone. Being as you are in England, you may or may not have a hobby shop that carries the parts. So I would check first, but I assure you, there is no shortage of parts for these things, both stock and aftermarket, on the web!

Thanks for your help. I'll go down to my LHS sometime in the week and take a look!

the ntc3 is a good choice which i havent tried so can't compliment nor down it my first and current car is the rs4 evo its kool 40mph out of the box. comes wiht a 2 speed and the new t-15. it would be hard to rate maintenance on them because they all need equal amounts of care.. the evo is very durable IMO.
