RS4 Type SS Carb question?

I am wondering if you can put a slide carb engine on the SS? Thanks.

Yes, you can. You need to the HPI Slide Carburetor Throttle Linkage.

According to this page you just need to use the 85039 (Number 2) servo horn:

This page says that horn is included in the box:

I'm wondering how well that works compared to the other kind with the spring. Oh well, you got the 85039 parts, might as well try it first.

i own a ss and got the 12R xs engine with slide carb. only hardcore racers wil feel difference in slide or rotary carb.
but if ya buy a racer engine with a lot of hp it wil mostly fit a slide carb

slide carb has a better low end en top end. and is used for onroad cars
the rotary has the best middle end. and is used for offroad cars
