A buddy of mine has a RTR TC3, hes bought to install the 2 speed for it this week. Think my RS4 SS will still take him?

Yours is a single speed right? If yours just beat his car now he will just beat you.. a 2 speed adds about 10 mph or a little more...

No mine is a two speed, except it wasn't shifting but, going to work that part out once I get my car put back together, his did seem a lil slower than mine though when mine wasn't shifting. I think HPI's .12SS is slightly better than Team Associates RTR .12. the .12SS Revs higher but both put down bout the same amount of power, probably slightly more with the .12SS.
And I will be finding out in the next few days to see which one has more speed.

Depending on gearings, he might have a higher gearing than you and still take you with a weaker engine on a long race... I think you will be able to take him in a short race..

I will be finding out either this weekend or early next week, he wrecked his car pretty bad so he is just waiting on parts. Ran my car today and it shifts stays straight and hauls a$$. I will keep yall posted though.

Ok, we ran the two cars together, there so close its hard to tell. From what I could tell the RS4 SS has a lil more power in the bottom end and mid range, it kinda looked like the TC3 RTR w/2speed has a very slight advantage in top speed but barely. both cars hang with each other in a straight line. Once I put my new pinion gears in which should help out my top end I should be able to take him in the straights!!
