RS4-3 SS12 sway bars

Bought the sway bar set from HPI as I was having some serious body roll issues. They provide 3 stiffnesses of sway bars;

green, purple, pink

What combos have you other RS4 drivers found to be the best? I put a purple (stiff) up front and green (medium) at the rear. Seems to have helped a little but now I have some understeer.

The kit is usable on all RS4's except the early wide body RS4.

Go for a slightly softer bar in the front to allow the suspension to flex and let weight transfer to the front wheels. Too stiff of a sway bar and you'll get the understeer, as you are experiencing now. Also, reset your droop to allow more suspension travel (if possible on the RS4-3).

I am not familiar with the term "droop" as it applies here. What am I looking for as far as an adjustment point, or linkage, for droop?

Thanks for the set-up tip. I will try to use medium stiffness all the way around next.

droop is basically the bumpstops. It limits how far the arms will travel. As I said, I'm not familiar with the RS4-3 but check your manual just in case. THe droop screw is basically a set screw. Look for it close to the hinge pins. If it has them, you'll be able to see it as you raise and lower the arms.

No droop screws on the RS4. You can either allow the chassis to hit the floor or slip fuel tubing on the shock shafts to limit the travel.
