I am having a problem with my handling on my RS4 3 SS. The car seems to do donuts very easily. I dont know why it does this. I can turn down my steering sensitivity on my controller but is there anything I can do to the car itself to improve its handling so it doesn't do these crazy spin outs all the time?

Thanks

Get a more powerful servo with more torque if you still have the stock one. But other than that get new tires for more traction.

Comon Problem....either ur giving it way to much gas into a turn or u just can't drive. No disrepect man but you may not be use to the car yet give it some time

Happened to me too. Upon further inspection I noticed that the front dog bone (the one coming from the tranny to the front diff) was broken. I was'nt getting any traction from the front tires.

I Got MIP CVD'S and haven't broken them yet.

Could be a combination of things. Tires is one. Another is suspension. Lastly, driver. Play around with the suspension a little. Toe in, camber, springs, and shock oil. Then tires. Certain tires work great on different surfaces while another one will be totally awful.

This is a common problem with the RS4 3SS. I know I had it with mine. I got a set of HPI progressive race springs which are excellent. The HPI sway bar set and some better shock oil. This took care of most of the problem. I know I full on barely turned and the ass end of the car would slide around. It is not always the driver. This car once you give it a couple of hop ups does this. Late

If your still running the stock setup that was included in the instruction book your going to keep having this problem.I found a setup sheet on HPI's website that was used to win a few races and it's been wroking fine for me so far.My car wants to spin out when it hits second gear though.Just experiment with the shock angles and fluids and tires and it should limit the problems.

Great link on that Thread newnitrofan

very insightful Link for a noob like me who just got into the Touring Nitro scene and only ran my used RS4 3 once b4 it snowed!! but that thread answered alot of my racing questions.

I plan to race this spring with my RS4 3 after i hop it up a bit over the winter (Fantom eng. some graphite and a proper susp. setup for racing) but mainly for fun and to improve my driving skills
Great post !

Yeah isn't it nice when someone else has done the homework for you. That is why I dug it. I didn't have to guess what parts or anything and there is some very technical stuff that helps for any RS4 3 type of car that someone may have. With this thread I was able to take all the slop right out of my car. Later

Sorry to post again forgot to attach the touring car setup sheet. Sunny your link did not work at all but I have the setup sheet on my computer so here ya go.

Here it is don't know what happened. Also this forum does not support PDF so if you want it in PDF PM me and I'll email it to ya.Race Proven touring car setup sheet
