Roto Starter :)

My cousin bought the new evo on-road r/c and its a RTR. It was funny because it wasn't a pull start but a roto starter. i found it fascinated when i seen the action of it. I also tried myself and i found it not hard, not hurtful to the muscles, and how its cautious to pull a pull starter to an extent of the line. So yeah i have a pull starter on my r/c and i was wondering if i can hook this up on my engine? i doubt it but would it be possible? This is a very nice way of starting an engine. so what do u think of it?

yakabod usually when you want info you should post what sort of ride you have with what sort of engine you have. I am guessing by your sig that you have the RS42 with a nitrostar engine. Here is a link to what you will need.

omg thank you sooo much. i really need this. i was wondering if it can be reliable to my Nitro star engine?

It is HPI's design and a nitro star is an HPI motor so I'm thinking that it should work just fine. You may also look at getting a starter box as well. Unless you plan on getting a savage or a t-maxx that should be just fine.

hmm... if i want to get a roto-starter then why would i need a starter box?


and what are the good and bad things about this roto starter? will it always work without a problem? what do u think?

The roto start is nice I am using it on my savage 21. Now really it kind of depends on your future plans for R/C as to which one I would choose. The roto start likes to chew up one way bearings and the gears inside the roto start itself tend to break here and there and it is usually more cost effective to get a new one. A starter box from wht I know is quite a bit more reliable and such.

I use the roto start in my tmaxx 24.7 and it is awesome. Starts immediately!

Hey ROINDAHOUSE how did the rotostart work with the rotostart? Is it difficult to put into the 24-7?
