Lower ride height
Use street tires

I have found that Proline 40 series road rages work great on tarmac.

I use them on my ERevo that I race on-road with on a tight 10th scale track.

+1 on that.... I have a set of street tires for my T-Maxx. Of coarse they don't work in dirt.... But on the street they kick butt. I can even do full speed power slides, and sometimes even get a full 360 out of it!

extended rpm arms and smaller wheels/tires and lowest suspension setting.

another thing you could try is dual rate springs they are about $10 from rcraven.
