Although I'm not a fan and would never think of buying one of his cars, it is a bit of a shock. I wish his family the best.

I'm sorry to hear the news. I personally build my cars in a different style than Boyd did, but I would be very proud to have one of his Rods in my collection. He did so much for hot rodding and the custom car scene. Many people only know that he had a show for a few years, but he has been pouring blod sweat and tears into custom hot rods on a large scale since at least the 80s, and I'm sure plenty before that. My prayers go out to his loved ones. God Bless you, and may you rest in peace, Boyd!

Wow. I just watched his show earlier this year. Never would have thought it. Kind of reminded me a Mike Reedy of Associated but younger looking.

I liked watching his show, but not because of him. I couldn't really stand the guy... Not that I wished him dead or anything, but as soon as he showed up, I'd change the channel. I liked most of his employees though.

I totally agree with you olds, he had some great guys working for him, but he was a pushy boss. Not nearly as bad as the dumb ass Sr. on OC Choppers. Junior is an artist and a genius. Senior is a major pain in everyone's ass.

Didn't you see that Sr's job description is literally "hemorrhoid."

Jr's too much of a diva for me... I actually like Sr more. I miss Vince though... Hopefully Rick doesn't end up with Vince or I won't watch the show anymore. They have to have at least one guy actually working.

Yeah I never really got into watching the show because it was always just two stupid people hollaring and yelling, and on the rare occasion that I watch TV, I want to achieve the goal I set out to attain. If it's seeing guys build bikes, I dont care to watch a show where guys scream at each other and throw tools, dont show up for work to make a statement that kinda stuff the whole time.

thats when i stopped watching american chopper. once vinny left the scene there was no point anymore. its one thing to make a bike look pretty but if you can get someone to make it run. whats the damn point lol

I got so sick of Senior that I didn't watch last season....so, what happened to Vinny? Why did he leave?

Yeah, I liked watching the bikes being built and running. But couldn't stand the Sr. He is a major A S S! Did any of you watch Monster Garage with Jesse James? Haven't seen it on TV in forever. That was a good show to watch also.
