Sometimes when I accelerate, there is a slight ringing bell sound, what is that? Also, why are my glow plugs smashed (simple answers, please), and why do they burn out after a couple of minutes? One more, can I reuse fuel after I suck it out from the tank?

Ok, answer this question first, do you run WOT for long periods or has anyone else? Whatr brand and # glo-plug do you use?

As far as the fuel question, I do, but the collective might say otherwise. I make sure there is no shavings or foreign debris first.

2.5 engines and Dynamite plugs...I run WOT for maybe 5 seconds max

Have you ever pulled the cooling head of your engine??? If you have did you put the shims back??? If not pull it off and check to see if the glow plug is to long. The glow plug should be flush with the inside of the cooling head.

The ringing upon acceleration is most likely your clutch bell and spur gear working together. I get that occasionally with mine.

Reusing fuel is okay if you have a fuel filter. The filter should catch most of the debris that might get into the tank. Most people, however, do make an effort to run their RC until there isn't a need to remove fuel (ie empty the tank by running it until it's empty).

Busted up and burnt glow plugs kind of go hand in hand. If the one is occurring, it is most likely causing the other (but not necessarily the opposite). You need to answer Christian's question. It might help us tell you if you have the wrong plug. Hunter has the right of it when determining the fit of the plug. And I do, believe it or not, concur with Matts for once. You might want to check for debris in the casing from the busted up glow plugs.

If the plugs are wrong the ringing could be the piston bouncing off of the plug itself.....

Plug # ????????

I am running Dynamite MC59 plugs
Also, I tried using two washers

P.S. does it really matter if I do not use "Top Fuel?"

When you pulled the head off, did the piston come to a stop at about 1/8th of an inch below the edge of the sleeve? Where did it stop?

Are those Turbo plugs? Longs? Short? plug...

The MC 59's are ultimately McCoys. They are good for Helis. Hot and long. Low to medium fuel. If the ones I'm finding are the same. MC-59.

I would look to a stock plug regardless. Or a Carbon Speed by DuraTrax. They work well for me. In all mills I have for Trucks and Cars.

Other recommended that I've seen are:

OS Plugs
The Real McCoy (MC's)
Dynamite Turbos for some hot onroads
