Hey, been working on my revo which i got as a roller. Today i got some new steering servos, they are hitec 645mgs rated at about 133oz/in each, total of about 266 oz/in. Will this be enough to turn some 23mm prolines???
I purchased them at the lhs for about 20 bucks each, didn't know if they were going to be great for the revo, so i thought worst case scenario would be use them on the savage.

i would say they would be strong enough. . .what chassis do you have is it a platinum chassis for a single steering servo or is it a 5308 chassis with a place for 2 servos?

There are 2 servo mounts, guy at the lhs wanted me to buy a 130 dollar servo rated at 400oz/in. Will about 260 oz/in from both servos work well?? Also, i have a home made servo horns and linkage to the steering, would a stock servo horn and rods work better?

then i would say definatly it will work just fine. . .you could try your home made stuff but if all else fails go back to the stock stuff and it will work

I use a single Tower Pro MG995 for steering on my Revo and it works great and is rated for 203oz/in at 6V if I remember correctly. $22 brand new ;-) 260 is more than plenty for the Revo, since the stock servos are 80 oz/in each for a total of 160oz/in. If you go higher than that you'll be just fine. Single steering servo saves some weight, and less crap to break though so it's a worthwhile upgrade.

The stock single arm servo is the 2075 and it is only rated for 124oz. of torque. So basically as long as you don't go under that I would say it ok.

Just remember the stronger the servo The faster your batteries will be used up.
