Thanks guy’s, my guess is that it overheated for less than ½ minute. The engine still has compression and seems to be ok (have not run it yet)

After the overheat I did set the piston to BDC and let it cool. I always use WD40 after I run and am very pleased with the results. Never problems with starting the next time.

The Picco Reddot seems to be out of stock everywhere at the moment so I will order it once it is available and then use my 3,3 for winter running. As far as I can understand the Reddot should be a direct replacement for the TRX 3,3 even the rear pipe set up. I use a roto-start so I'm not so worried about the EZ start.

Weather plays a big part in nitro tuning. Humidity changes tune greatly. If it's really humid out, I don't even bother running. Usually it will run hot and crappy regardless what I do.

So, unless your weather stays exactly the same from bash session to bash session, some mild tuning will be required to fit the day.

it has been for a while, but yeah it is a direct bolt in, with the exception of the motor mount.

P.S. Check ebay for NIP picco red dot
