RRP makes a steel spur gear but, no one makes any steel tranny gears yet (That I know of). I don't know if there is a need for them anyway? With proper silpper clutch adjustment the tranny should last a good long time with any engine you drop in the Revo.
heres the gear that came out of my revo tranny, its hard to tell but the teeth are completly gone. sorry so blurry. anyone know of a decent tranny gear set?
As far as I know there is only the stock gears you can replace them with at this time. I am running an RB .23 in my Revo and have yet to smoke the Tranny after 2 1/2 gallons of fuel. I would replace the bad gear and check your slipper adjustment.
Dont use any grease on the tranny gears,If you can use Graphite dry lube, you can get it at bike shops or hardware store, nothing will stick to dry lube,
I found that doing wheelies in reverse will strip that reverse gear every time.... with the Rb or the OS max, be easy when hitting it into reverse! I have been looking for steel gears also... but no luck!
