hi. i have recently tried installing a picco .26max engine into my revo. i have the correct mount however the spur and the clutchbell seem to be meshing too tightly. is there any thing i can do? the clutchbell meshes fine with my 72t t maxx spurgear! do i need a new clutchbell that is designed for the revo spurgear? tim

I believe the revo has a 1M pitch like the savage and 1/8 scale buggies. The t-maxx does not. You need an actual revo bell. I don't think a normal 1/8 scale bell will work either as it's too deep.

To bad traxxas never just went with an 1/8 scale clutch system. I believe the revo bell is a 1/10 scale bell housing with 1/8 scale gear on it. Kind of retarded, but it probably makes the spur less likely to strip since the teeth are larger.

I too have installed a Picco .26 on my revo using the matching engine mount for that application and found it to mesh ok with revo stock metric pitchgears but the adjustment range is very limited even with some dremel work! You probably already know that 16 - 36 is the best ratio to use but can't get the engine up high enough to get it tight.......so instead you settle for a 38 tooth spur which works well but good luck keepin the nose down!
