Picked up a set of the Revo Hurricane rims and Sporttraxx 'Bowtie' tires today. Plan to glue them up tonight and test them this week.

For those unfamiliar with these products, these are the newest Traxxas tires and rims for the Revo.

I was finding that the stock tires did not grip well in dirt or in small gravel, where I like to bash, so I was happy to see the Traxxas upgrade hit the market.

Next I might try 40's on aluminum rims, but then I might have to reset my shift points and/or get different gears. A little more that I want to do at this time.

Still waiting for the Response tires to be released, but don't bring it up on the Traxxas board or they'll cut your nuts off.

The 40 series tires have the same outside diameter as the standard tires, therefore no need to change shift point or gearing.

Thanks Mr T Maxx. That is something I did not notice. I always thought they looked larger in diameter, but it must be the illusion.

'Ok, he thinks to himself, what rim do I really want!!! And tire, make and tread?!?'
