Ok tonight i finally got my Revo back together from the aftermath of this past weekend and burying it in the mud which i will never ever do again. It ended up seizing up all my wheel bearing and the differential bearings and it killed a throttle servo. Last night i had the truck together but didnt have the engine clean which was caked with mud. I didnt know what to do to clean it so last night i pulled the head off it and the easy start and then i pulled the sleeve and the carb off. No matter how meticulous i was i could not keep from getting small grains of sand inside the engine. So i Stopped cleaned just the head off real good and put the engine back together. I took the engine to work today and sprayed a few short burst of deep creep in the carb. I then blocked off the carb and the exhaust port and used my toothbrush and brake cleaner to get the outside spotless. After i was done i spun the motor over a few times and then shot a little more deep creep in it. Well tonight i installed the engine back in the truck. I was having problems due to me getting water in the EZ start motor last weekend and tonight i decided to see if it was still acting up. So at 10:25 i put the EZ start wand in the truck and tapped the button for just a short second. BRAAAAAAAAA it fired right up and with no Header on it was friggin loud. I was in the kitchen and my wife and son were in the living room asleep :) LOL. "Ok ez start works, man that was loud sorry didnt mean to wake yall" What the F was that? So i tell her and shes mad i woke the baby up. Just for good measure i put the EZ start wand back in and it fired right back up. ran for a sec then i stopped it.

SO to recap. Nitro Engine will run off deep creep. If you dont have an exhaust on its very very loud and also. When it starts and runs deep creep will smoke the house out!!!!!

It was fun though!
 
i would imagine it would be as loud as it is with the single chamber pipe on it too. . .i found out that my picco .26 is quite a loud little bugger when i first fired it up with the single chamber pipe on it especially in the house. . .but like i always say. . .if its too loud your too old
 
I bet you took their place on the couch for the rest of the night for that, lmao, jk jk.

Its alot louder with no exhaust. I mean no exhaust period no header no nothing.

oh. . .da*n.. .that would be pretty freakin loud. . .i turned mine over by hand with no header on it and it make a pretty loud *POP* so i can only imagine what it would sound like when it actually runs with no exhaust
 
That's funny stuff. I guess Deep Creep is some kind of penetrating oil?
I found out a while back that an engine will run with ARO. Great smoke, too!
 
Yeah i broke my header and I'm waiting for my new one to arrive. I was hoping it would be here tonight so i could play but i guess not and now i wont have it til friday. Fresh new assembled truck but can't play with it. This sucks.
 
i feel your pain bro believe me. . .i just finally got the last part that i needed for my revo, but for some reason i can't get the engine to stay running so i just gave up on it for the night. . .i am gonna check for leaks tomorrow but i know what you mean by having a freshly assembled truck and you can't run it. . .it sux:(
 
Make sure and check your o-ring on the gas tank lid. I had been having trouble with mine not holding a tune. Looking at the o-ring it appeared to be fine. But after taking the lid off the tank it was torn at the back of the lid where it was hard to see. I'm supposed to be racing this weekend but now i will hope i dont have any problems because i wont have any time to test the truck out really.
Good luck with your truck though. Once you can get them right they are so much fun though.
 
oh i know man. . .when i had the 3.3 on it i had it running superb. . .but i just wanted more power *tim taylor grunt* and a bigger engine so i got the picco .26 maxx waited like a month and a half for all the parts that i needed to get it running and well you know the rest
 
In all honesty i am actually glad i have not gotten the header yet. I am getting rid of the 3.3 Revo in favor of a ERBE so if i can keep from driving the truck any then its better. I love the little truck but i really want the ERBE and its one or the other!
 
Probably going to sale it. Wife says i have to sale it to get the ERBE.
If i had both of them i am sure the ERBE would get all the attention so it only make sense to just sale the nitro truck.
