My first question is what difference do the quick turn axles make?

2nd What clutch bell are you guys using?

3rd Have anyy of you put the close ratio gears in? How much of a difference do they make?

I'm sure I'll have more when I do more reading....

I use stock gearing, seems to be okay for bashing. Dunno about the quick turn axels, and I have heard the close ratio gearing does make a signifigant difference, but all I got was "its so much better" haha. For racing I hear P2 rockers are good if yours don't come with em. I'm still learning about my Revo, I'm sure others could help you better.

I use the RD Quick Turn drive shaft. It's awesome, IMO. Depending on racing or bashing it may or may no be for you though. If you race I say well worth the $70 especially for a tight track. You lose front wheel braking with it but depending on your driving style it may or may not make a difference. For bashing if you like to do powerslides and tight doughnuts a stuff like that, it's good for that too.

As far as gearing, here goes my set-up. 16/36 Clutchbell/Spur gear combo with close ration gears. I have an OS 18TM on my Revo with that gear combo and the low end punch is unreal. I race on a smaller track so the close ration really suits Revo's there pretty good. The CB/Spur combo is great for off the line punch and coming off those tight turns. My fronts stay planted pretty well even when nailing it when the horns goes off. I can take 99% of the trucks I race against off the line into turn one with that set up.

What race setups are you guys running? I've heard 35wt all the way to 70 wt oils for the shocks. Also diff oils? I saw one guy running 300wt, but thats the only one that I've been able to find.

30K front (stock) and 50K rear on difs. 40wt front shock oil and 50 weight rear. Arms are level front and rear. About 1 1/2 toe out front and about 2 1/2 toe in rear and about 2 degrees camber all around with front caster at 12. I also run a quick turn drive shaft on the front so my dif setup maybe a little different than most. I race on a smooth pack with lots of dust and the rear wheels just spin off turns with anything less than 50K.

When converting to a single servo is there anyhing special that has to be done?

You dont have to buy anything to mount a single servo. Most buy the proline aluminum steering arm and the heavy duty servo spring.I had to trim the servo gaurd to get full throw out of a airtronics 94358.I can get a pic if you need it?

OK hold on a second.

I had to trim the back part of the servo gaurd. Its hard to see in the pics. I would also get a 1/8th scale wing mount. It helps when you dont land the jump perfect.I use the ofna wing mount. Ask any questions if you have any.

Hey VB, head over to the Traxxas site and check out Slayden's steering mods, there's sever you can do. I have the Proline arm, like it, love it! Also with the stronger single servo, get the heavy duty servo saver spring, it seems to make the servo far more responsive.
