Revo Platinum and required items??

hey guys i have pondering getting a platinum. just looking through the traxxas website and it requires a starter box and a 2channel transmitter reciever. here is my important question


I have a Futaba 3PM on the way. will this work for the revo platinum? would i just be using the two channels out of the three? I am assuming i dont have to use the 3 channels if i dont want too but let me know guys!!!

Yeah it'll work. That's a 2.4 ghz system right? If so it's a great radio for the Platinum and will definitely be a good race setup.

It could either be FASST or FM. I have one that I use as my bashing radio and rock crawling radio so, so I can save my good one for the races and not mess it up. It's a great system, I have the FASST.

also guys as far as this starter box, this is all new to me. what should i get? this will be for the revo platinum

They make a starter box specifically for the Revo but it's kinda expensive.

The only one I know of is the RD Logics and tyou want the newest version II wider belt setup and you will need power(gell cell is probable the best).Now that I am getting use to the bump box I am converting my other Revo to bump start also.

RD Logics II bump box new $120.00 - $160.00.

I've got a question, since I have a revo3.3 and a truggy. Can I use RD logics bump start for revo to start my truggy? or any other system that will start both. Thanks! Sorry TMAXX84 for using your tread for my question!
