Hi I'm after some opinions I cannot make up my mind on which truck to buy I'm thinking about eithier a Revo or a Savage25 Which truck do you guys think would be the best to buy and why..
Thanks Andy

revo is 1:10
savage 1:8

they can do both the same thing. go the same speed. only i think, the savage can drive over bigger obstacles then the revo.
i got the savage ss. and boy... is it big!!!!. go get a cola can and ad another inch to that. then you got the size of the wheels of the savage.

i would go with the savage, like i did. cause its way bigger.
and bigger is better in this case.

It all depends on the terrain ya plan to tackle with it, and if you plan on bashin it.
If Bashing Id probably go Savage because they are proven very tuff and durable already. The Revo is still new so I dont know to much about them, besides what I read, but that also seems to be a very fast and sweet truck. Imo its more set up for racing than bashing so, It all depends on what ya wanna do with it.

The revo is actualy quite strong as appossed to the tmaxx. But in strength i would still have to go with the savage. I drag raced my dad's revo with my .26 Maxx(to my suprise, he kept up) and i acidentally clipped his rear tire and we both went tumbling.Nothing happened to either truck. we were booking too.

Don't think you can go wrong with either of them. Savage is bigger,in all aspects. If it helps, the Revo has 4 3/4" of suspension travel, and over 4" of ground clearance. Also it just has a small block, but a quick small block. I like both, but it depends on what you plan on doing with the truck. The ez start is a + in my book too.

depends what you're looking for in a truck. if you want totally ball-out durability and a big tough guy stature the savage is for you. if you want a quick, agile monster that can still crawl over pretty much anything, get the revo. me, i'd get the revo

I say savage. It's by far more durable, and it can be just as good a race truck w/ some extra $ and work finding that sweet set-up.

i would say go wit the REVO, like i did. everything is accessible for easy adjustments to b made, its quick it takes bashing well! which is all ways a plus, and i race it too.

everything is accesible in the savage as wel. you dont need to take the body off when you want to start or race it. savage is as fast as the revo but with a much more powerfull engine.
for offroad i think bigger is better. savage can overtake obstacles a revo can't.

Savage- The biggest beast of this combo. It can handle almost anything you can throw at it asking for more. A little sluggish in the steering but that can be fixed with only a few bucks.

REVO- It is a 1/10 so it is smaller and more agile. It's small block powered but still pretty quick, but it can't handle the jumps like the savage can.

From here you just have to decide what you want to do with it. Good luck!

everyone is sayign how the revo can't handle obstacles as big as the savage can. that is SO not true. the revo has twice the suspension travel the savage has. the engine in it is a screamer from personal experiance and is every bit as fast and powerful (in terms of power/weight) as the savage engine is, if not even more so. durability-wise, i'm pretty sure the savage is more durable, but i'm not in a position really to say so, so take my advice with a grain of salt...

Ok thanks for all your input guys..
I decided to go for the savage25.. For the main reason that its tried and tested Also over here in england the availability of parts for the savage is a bit limited, I got to see a revo go yesterday cos a guy that goes to the RC meet that i attend just got one.. He wasant completly confident with it cos its new and all but it did seem very fast.. :devious:
